B 250 week 13

Woorank is a website that ranks the quality of other websites. Just copy the website address into the rank box and it tells you what you can do to improve your website and some helpful feedback about it. The score for my site right now is 53. Definitely higher than I expected but still some room to improve on. It did make me wonder about it though since my classmate pointed out that Google only has a 90. It makes me wonder on the usefulness of the site.
We also used Google Analytics. It said that I have quite a few hit, but I couldn’t get the rest of it figured out. There was no way to tell which words were the worst or the landing page, or add. I originally thought that it was because my ads are on hold still, but another classmate posted a copy of what their page looked like. My page was similar to hers but mine was missing that information that hers had. Instead of find out for sure which ones to change, I just get to guess and go off the information from google adwords.

B250 week12

Lesson 12 has been on social networking and using it to improve SEO and get more consumers through more personal-like interactions. I do not like social media and would rather not have to use it, however I can see that there could be some good from using it. Facebook could be good for a business since there seems to be quite a few people that use it. I found that they have business accounts, so it could be used like a blog except that each post would automatically be sent out and seen by anyone who likes your page. LinkedIn would also be manageable because it is business based and more professional. Users can pick categories that they get notices about so posts onto a page would be sent to those who that are interested in that subject. Google+ would be the only other one that I am willing to consider at this time. I’ve heard that it is great but I’m need to do some more research for it. The class said to pick three to do but in reality, and after reading all the details of what a social media network would require, I think two might be my maximum. I would need to hire someone that was more outgoing and willing to share before I could expand into social media very much.
